Our newest shipment of Zenaida Cellars kegs will arrive soon. Winemaker and good friend Eric Ogorsolka is using 100% recycleable packaging, check this out.

We will have new vintages of ZC Red, Syrah, Zinfandel, Grenache and Joe & Mary’s Blend v3! All wines will be available in Growliers, at a special price of $25 per bottle or any three for $69 thru April 30, 2014. Stop by to taste and take some home!

AIDA Bistro & Wine Bar was just voted by the readers of “Howard Magazine” in November 2103, as having the Best Wine Tasting in Howard County in 2013. In addition, we received 12 Honorable Mention awards, more  than any other restaurant in Howard County!

For the second year in a row, AIDA Bistro in Columbia Maryland is named by OpenTable as having one of the TOP 100 Most Notable Restaurant Wine Lists in the US during 2013.

“Whenever we receive national recognition, it reflects well on our entire staff and all of our winery partners”, said Joe Barbera, co-owner. “Wine is Food and that philosophy is one that we take very seriously.”

With 30 wines on tap, AIDA Bistro has  the largest Wine on Tap System in Maryland and one of the largest in the United States

Some colleagues and I recently stopped by AIDA Bistro & Wine Bar to check out its wine-on-tap system. I had heard that a few restaurants across the country were raising the bar on providing sustainable services and was delighted to hear that one in my backyard was among them.

Joe and Mary Barbera Receive 2013 Entrepreneurs of the Year Award

AIDA Bistro & Wine Bar opened in Columbia 11 years ago, and built its current, more upscale location in 2010. But the inspiration for the restaurant took root a couple decades earlier when Joe and Mary Barbera enjoyed a trip through the California wine country on their honeymoon.

“We said one day we wanted to have a little corner wine bar,” Mary said.

Aida Hits High Notes With Wines On Tap

Aida Bistro & Wine Bar isn’t named after Verdi’s classic opera. It refers to the mother of the owners, Joseph and Mary Barbera (two other classic names of biblical proportions).

The Barberas, active parishioners at St. Louis in Clarksville, came to the restaurant scene as a way to bring some good news into this world, especially after the tragedies of Sept. 11, 2001.
